I’ve already blogged about resin and it’s tendency to slightly yellow over time.
It doesn’t bother me, and the trade off of being able to suspend glass in such a way that we can enjoy it’s brilliance is totally worth it! But, long ago, I only covered parts of a painting with resin. That made the effect more noticeable.
Now, I cover the entire piece with resin and use better UV resistant paints.
I have a few clients that have dropped off their art at my gallery for me to give them a “tune-up”. Here’s two large pieces that I’ve retouched and you can see how beautiful they still are! Look out…my technique may be the theme of another workshop!
