Meet Mary

Mary Hong is an award-winning and successful artist and entrepreneur on the Emerald Coast of Florida.

Originally from Wisconsin, Mary received her undergraduate degree from the  University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Post graduation launched her into an 18 year career as a flight attendant, mixing her passion for travel with art by free-lancing as a graphic artist in Kailua, Hawaii, her home for nearly 15 years.

Mary and her husband, a commercial airline pilot, relocated to the Emerald Coast in 2004 when she joined the Eglin Aero Club to complete her  multi-engine commercial pilot’s rating before giving birth to her twins Kai and Rain in 2006.  As her twins entered preschool,  Mary went back into the art world.

Her work has been featured in Atlanta BridalThe Local PaletteThe Chicago TribuneVie Magazine and on the cover of Coastal Lifestyle magazine and was recently highlighted on the Golf Channel’s Morning Show with Matt Ginella.  Last year, John Richard, a high-end home furniture and accessories company, began producing giclee prints of her work that are now sold to retailers around the world in including Neiman Marcus and Horchow.

She is a member of the Cultural Arts Alliance, Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation, the Society of American Mosaic Artists, and was the recipient of the 2014 Artist of the Year award from the Walton County Tourist Development Council.
