Yippeee!!! Look what we made! I had my first kids class of the year…first we scribbled with crayons and pencils to get our creative brains in gear..when we started in on the shiny fun!
I told mom’s that you can do this at home or at the beach without resin!!! Just bring along a board or canvas or even a piece of cardboard, (if you’re an over achiever like me…swing by home depot or lowe’s and paw through their cut off bin and find some fun boards…they will cut them down if you ask. Then…swing by Michael’s or Walmart and pick up some Tacky Glue…) Then, head to the beach! Take your pail or net and start combing the beach for seashells, drift wood, rusty remnants of the sea, or anything else that looks interesting!!! When you have a good “collection” of material…find a picnic table even just spread out your beach towel. Arrange your goodies in an artful way and glue them down with Tacky Glue..it’s a GREAT adhesive that is nice and thick, it’s white but dries clear, and best of all…safe and water washable! And..it’s STRONG! I did this for my kids’ birthday 3 years ago and everything is still holding just fine! This is especially fun to do around this time of year when the weather is not so great..but we still want to go to the beach! Long walks in the winter sun during this time of year is the best! Enjoy!
