If you see me wandering the aisles of Walmart with a cart FULL of pool noodles, mattress pads, and bubble wrap, I’m not getting ready for a party. I’m getting ready for a BIG SHOW! I’ve been working around the clock creating over 20 masterpieces for Art San Diego. They’re finally finished! But, half my work is still ahead of me!
I still have to title and price each piece, catalog it, and wrap it carefully. My secret to separating the pieces of glass that jut out from my paintings…is….pool noodles. They’re perfect for the job! I wrap noodles onto the top of my art and it’s just enough separation and cushion for the painting to keep their distance to another work of art!
Then it’s about 2 days of non stop wrapping and packing to prepare art for shipment to San Diego! If you visit my gallery this week, you’ll see something that looks like this!
Below are some blurry pictures of the art that’s going to Art San Diego. I LOVED creating art that’s more contemporary and more fitted for a world-wide audience! Some beachy pieces are going…but some strong vibrant pieces are going too! Stop in and see Mario and Vic at Booth #413 at Balboa Park! I will not be at the show because I have to get ready for another show at Bev’s Fine Art in Raleigh NC on Dec 8th and 9th! I WILL be at Spectrum Miami Nov 30-Dec 4, 2016.
